The Everest barrier draw took place on Tuesday night, and saw each horse’s colours projected over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Everest favourite Santa Ana Lane drew the tricky barrier two, while West Australian horse Arcadia Queen drew favourably in gate three. With tearaway horse Nature Strip drawing barrier 12, it should see the world’s richest thoroughbred race on turf run truly.
