February 4, 2020. The National Party whip announces that the leadership spill has been decided with Michael McCormack, the incumbent leader re-elected after former leader Barnaby Joyce challenged for the top job. David Littleproud was elected the new deputy leader of the Nationals. National party convention does not disclose the voting numbers of the candidates.
