The implementation of a short list of 10 'best in show' super funds could see a large reduction in competition and the number of funds available to the public, the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia CEO Martin Fahy told Sky News. The Productivity Commission is calling for changes to be made to the superannuation system, following revelations that millions of Australians are being short-changed up to $400,000. The commission says the short-list would be chosen by an independent expert panel.
