Dr Malcolm Davis from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute says China would not “put something in a parade unless it’s operationally deployed”. China displayed its full military range on Tuesday in an enormous parade celebrating 70 years of Communist Party rule. The analyst told Sky News this is the “first time we’ve had a chance to see them up close”, and from an intelligence perspective, “we able to look at their capabilities and what they are emphasizing”. Dr Davis said the parade is “a significant development” because it means China has “an advantage and lead over the United States” in certain areas. Image: Getty
