Seven West Media has announced it intends to buy its regional affiliate, Prime Media, as part of a $63.8 million merger. The media giant believed the sale would offer advertisers a better platform to reach a greater audience across city and regional markets. Under the proposed deal, Prime shareholders would collectively receive a 10 per cent stake in the combined company. Seven West Media has also announced it will sell-out of its radio business in Western Australia, as part of a $28 million deal with Southern Cross Austereo.
