ANU terror expert Clive Williams says the latest terror attack in London is a lesson “not to release people from prison unless we are reasonably sure that they are no longer a threat to the public”. It comes amid revelations the attacker was a convicted terrorist who had recently been released from prison on parole. Mr Williams suggested one way to ensure incarcerated Islamist extremists do not re-offend is to “make them swear on the Koran”. “I think that would be a way of determining they are or are not an ongoing threat,” he told Sky News.
