NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller has hit back at calls to water-down police powers, warning it could lead to a rise in youth crime. There has been a growing push to ban strip searches and sniffer dogs at music festivals across the state since NSW Deputy Coroner Harriet Grahame called for a softening of police measures. Mr Fuller said the state avoided major problems with current police practice and feared a relaxed approach would create a "generation of kids with no respect for authority".
