South Australia is lifting the cap on patrons in all venues with businesses restricted to one person per two square metres as the state moves to stage three of easing restrictions on Monday. Essential travellers will be able to apply for pre-approval to enter the state, while the border will open to interstate travellers from July 20. Premier Steven Marshall confirmed authorities were watching Victoria closely and had not ruled out pushing back that date if the number of coronavirus cases in Victoria continued to surge. “We will not be opening our borders to Victoria unless we are absolutely satisfied that we’re not going to go backwards from a health, safety and welfare perspective,” he said.
