An anti-government demonstration attended by “thousands” of protesters in Bangkok, Thailand, on Wednesday, November 18, ended “peacefully,” with marchers dispersing around 8.30 pm, local media reported. The large protest took place at Bangkok’s Ratchaprasong intersection on Wednesday night, with some protesters spray-painting the building of a police agency, local news reported. Protesters had damaged 30 government vehicles including water cannon trucks and buses during demonstrations on Tuesday, The Bangkok Post said. Tear gas and water cannons were aimed at protesters, resulting in at least 18 people injured during “the most violent confrontation since the youth-led protest movement emerged in July,” they said.
