Another monolith has appeared, this time in Atascadero, California, where locals discovered a metallic object atop a mountain on December 2. This footage was provided to Storyful by Gary Lyons, who says he runs and hikes on Pine Mountain regularly throughout the week. On Wednesday morning, he encountered the object, which he said was not present the day before. Others took to social media to post photographs of the monolith, and by the afternoon of December 2, local media confirmed its presence, and measured the object as nine feet in height. The sudden appearance of the object comes two weeks after a monolith was discovered in the Utah desert. The Utah monolith has since disappeared, as did another in Romania.
