Tasmanian Labor leader Rebecca White has unveiled the team she will lead to the state’s May 1 election, but questions have been raised after popular Kingborough mayor Dean Winter missed out on preselection. Many within the party have been angered by the decision and Mr Winter’s supporters, including former premier David Bartlett are blaming health union leaders for the pre-election snub. “I understand that there were more nominations than positions, and that’s an endorsement of how excited people are to run for the Labor Party,” Ms White said.
