Significant damage is feared to have occurred in Tonga after an underwater volcanic eruption triggered a tsunami on Saturday. Satellite images captured the eruption which sent plumes of smoke into the air. Social media posts show waves crashing through homes and shops - while boats were washed ashore. Communications and power lines have been cut meaning casualty reports and damage assessments are unavailable.
