Australian brand Vegemite has written to the Queen requesting a 100-year birthday letter. The company has also launched a campaign of "reminders" featured on yellow billboards outside London landmarks – in honour of the Queen's birthday long weekend in Australia. Vegemite will celebrate its centenary next year – after first launching on shelves in 1923. Bega Foods executive general manager Adam McNamara says Vegemite could potentially be the only Australian brand to receive a 100-year commendation by the Queen.
