Today marks six months since Russian forces invaded Ukraine in February, coinciding with the 31st anniversary of Ukraine's independence from Soviet rule. There are concerns the significant day may prompt Russia to launch more attacks. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has vowed any attack will be met by a powerful response. The city of Kyiv has banned public gatherings relating to the anniversary until tomorrow. Dozens of international leaders have stood in solidarity with Ukraine by virtually attending the Crimea Platform.
