Police in Holiday, Florida, arrested a man on suspicion of auto theft on June 8 after he allegedly drove a stolen vehicle into a ditch. To their surprise, police also discovered a Capuchin monkey in the vehicle. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office shared this footage of the arrest, where the man’s pet monkey, a male named Monk, can be seen clinging to him as he is arrested. The suspect was identified by police as Cody Blake Hession. Police said the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) took possession of the animal and transported it to the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary.
