An air tanker was deployed in Mendocino County, California, on August 2 to help contain wildfires that have burned over 150,000 acres of land and vegetation. Cal Fire said on August 3 that the Ranch Fire, which is burning northeast of Ukiah, had consumed about 115,250 acres since it started on July 27, with firefighters managing to contain about 28 percent of the blaze. At least 89 structures have been destroyed, half of which were residential homes, and about 9,200 remain under threat. The River Fire, where this video of air tanker was taken, has burned through 42,200 acres and is about 50 percent contained. Almost 3,500 personnel, alongside 419 fire engines and 15 helicopters, have taken part of the firefighting efforts. Credit: Petaluma Firefighters via Storyful
