This may be the fourth time this film has been made, but it's the first time we've seen it through Cooper's eyes and he's worked hard to present us with his vision, his ideas and experience of the business of art. Of our desire to to tell our stories and having the ambition to do it. A Star Is Born is a really well made film, with some great performances, a warm heart and a sad soul. And it rates 3 1/2 stars.
