New divisions in political allegiance are emerging in Australian society in the form of 'inners and outers', according to Research fellow at the Institute of Public Affairs Matthew Lesh. Mr Lesh investigates the impacts these groups have on Australia’s landscapes in his new book 'Democracy in a Divided Australia'. Speaking to Sky News, Mr Lesh warns those who have power over institutions in Australian society need to re-think about the way people have a say, as faith in political institutions hit record lows.
