NSW Premier says underground rail network at risk of being canned

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has shown off construction work on one of Sydney's new underground metro stations, three weeks out from the state election. Martin Place station is among four being built in Sydney's CBD, and 31 across the city and is set to be the biggest and busiest of all the metro stations. Ms Berejiklian says the NSW government is excited that the project not only means reduced travel times for commuters, but a variety of jobs for the state. However she says the project is at risk of being canned if the NSW Labor Party is successful at the state election in March. Image: News Corp Australia
