Animal activists who invade farms in Victoria will face hefty on-the-spot fines and abattoirs could be forced to install CCTV cameras under new laws proposed by a parliamentary inquiry. The inquiry into the impact of animal activism on agriculture in Victoria was tabled in Parliament on Wednesday night. The inquiry made 15 recommendations including introducing new code of practice and tougher penalties for those who do not comply. Animal activists who are found to breach farm bio security will face fines of up to $1000 if the recommendations are implemented. Image: News Corp Australia
