February 19, 2020. Detective Inspector David El-Badawi from Day Street Police Station in Sydney speaks to the media about the death of a man caused by a flying gas bottle in yesterday's storm. The 37-year-old man was walking along Harrington Street in The Rocks when the gas bottle became airborne. "It hit him in the shoulder," Mr El-Badawi says. "It's a nine kilo gas bottle, we believe it's come from a nearby apartment," he continues. The man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital but was unable to recover from his injuries.
