The Australian’s editor-at-large Paul Kelly says “Australia is not going the way of Italy and Spain despite warnings several weeks ago of outside medical experts” in regards to COVID-19 infections and deaths. “We had the prime minister saying if earlier trends had continued the rate of infecitons now would have scaled 10,000,” Mr Kelly told Sky News. “Whereas the actual numbers are a bit over 5,000”. “The point to make here is the real message coming from the medical officers Brendan Murphy and Paul Kelly is whatever the government does it must be sustainable,” he said. “We’ve built up health capacity in recent weeks.” Image: News Corp Australia
