COVID-19 kills fourth Queenslander pushing national deaths to 23

Queensland Health Minister Steven Miles has confirmed four Queenslanders have died from COVID-19, following the death of an 85-year-old man in Toowoomba Hospital overnight. “Each of these deaths reminds us of just how important our effort to stop the spread of this outbreak, to slow the spread of this outbreak is,” Mr Miles said. The Sunshine State’s infection rate has risen by 57 to 835, and Australia now has more than 5,000 confirmed cases. Image: AP
