Queensland has recorded zero new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours for the first time in 81 days. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk on Monday said she was “overjoyed” and if the result could be maintained, Queensland could see some restrictions lifted within weeks. "If we can keep this up, over the coming weeks, I’m sure that that is going to mean that we will be able to make some changes and ease some of those restrictions on the populations,” she said.
