Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has refused to weigh in following the resignation of a third state Labor MP over branch-stacking allegations. Mr Andrews said there were "very serious investigations" going into "equally serious matters" by both the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission and Victoria Police. "I don't propose to run a commentary or in any way cut across that important work that needs to be done without fear of failure at arm's length from the government," he said. Cabinet minister Marlene Kairouz and Assistant Treasurer Robin Scott both announced they would stand aside from their ministerial roles while the investigation was underway.
