Hail rained down on Ogden, Utah, north of Salt Lake City, on June 16, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of a “strong thunderstorm” moving across the area. The NWS said thunder and winds up to 40 mph could be expected as the storm moved across the Great Salt Lake.
