Mainstream must take a stand against ‘the Orwellian thought police’

Sky News host Rita Panahi says “it’s time the mainstream in the West took a stand against the Orwellian thought police who want to dictate what we choose to listen to, read or watch”. "The totalitarian Left have repeatedly shown that they’d rather erase history than learn from it," Ms Panahi said. Streaming services such as Netflix, Stan, HBO Max and BBC iPlayer have recently pulled programs off their platforms that have caused controversy among some viewers. “Because they might offend a few hypersensitive snowflakes, who could choose to watch something else,” she said. “No longer can this insanity be dismissed as trivial or a fringe cultural war. “When you abandon reason, facts and resilience and embrace feelings no matter how irrational, you incentivise a victimhood mentality and a miserable existence.” Image: AP
