‘Not going anywhere anytime soon’: Protesters ignore Trump’s call for peace

CNN reporter Darryl Forges says protesters will continue to demonstrate until all four police officers who were on scene when George Floyd died, are prosecuted. US President Donald Trump condemned violent protests across the country, describing them as “domestic acts of terror” during a press conference at the White House. Mr Trump said the National Guard would be deployed to “dominate the streets” and announced strict 7pm curfews. Despite the President's crackdown, Mr Forges said protesters would not bow to the pressure. "Protesters here are saying they'e not going anywhere anytime soon, and will continue to protest until all four police officers are brought to justice," he said. Image: AP
