Virgin Australia has expressed its disappointment after missing out on a deal to operate taxpayer subsidised flights between Brisbane and the Whitsundays. Alliance Airlines was awarded the contract to fly four return services per week from June 22. Virgin Australia said it was incredibly disappointed not to be included.
