‘Light at the End of the Tunnel’: NYC Health Care Workers Get COVID-19 Vaccine

More than 30,500 COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered in New York City as of December 23, with the first shots being given to frontline health care workers, according to city data. This footage, released on December 23, shows NewYork-Presbyterian staff being vaccinated at several locations between December 15 and 18. The vaccines arrived at NewYork-Presbyterian on December 15. “This is a small step for me, but is a big step for humankind, for my family, for the society,” Jeffrey Hammond, a nursing manager, says in the video. “So it makes me feel good that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.” Both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines have been approved for emergency use in the United States.
