Overnight freezing temperatures resulted in layers of white frost blanketing sporting fields in Tamworth, New South Wales, on the morning of June 2. Although cold weather conditions have gripped the country, news.com.au reported the conditions were not unusual for this time of the year and meteorologists have predicted fewer cold snaps for winter in 2018. Despite this, temperatures in the Victoria’s alpines dropped to as low as -4 degrees Celsius. Credit: Tamworth & Region Weather via Storyful
