GWS vice-captain Stephen Coniglio, at Sydney Olympic Park in Sydney’s west, says the Giants are looking to put the past two weeks’ disappointment behind them ahead of next weekend’s AFL final against cross-town rivals the Swans. Coniglio says “the last two weeks was really disappointing from our team's perspective because probably the last three months we've been so good” but with up to seven returning players available for next week’s elimination final will bring some confidence back to the team. Coniglio also says the Giants have never lost to the Swans in an AFL final and “I’m just really looking forward to the rivalry” and “just excited more than anything to be playing in another finals campaign”.
