Police pursued four jetskiis along the Thames through central London, on the evening of August 3. The police responded to reports that jetskiis were being “driven at speed” through London, and attampted to make the jetskiers change their course, unsuccessfully. The London Metropolitan Police Service said on Twitter that they had decided to break off their pursuit “for safety reasons.” Multiple UK news outlets compared the incident to a chase scene on the Thames from the 1999 James Bond film The World Is Not Enough.
