Australia is supporting the non-binding Global Compact on Refugees, with the final agreement expected to be debated in the United Nation's General Assembly by the end of the year. A spokesperson for Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton has expressed concerns about the compact, but has not pulled Australia out of the agreement. The final draft of the agreement, which was presented to the UN overnight, says countries that are hosting significant numbers of refugees should receive additional support from the international community for their efforts. It is different to the more controversial UN Global Compact for Migration, which Australia said it will agree to under its current iteration. Ms Riordan told Sky News Host Peta Credlin that other countries besides Australia are looking to pull out of the Migration Compact as more details about it emerge.
