Sky News host Graham Richardson is calling on Scott Morrison to ‘stand up and admit’ he got it wrong when he suggested Australia could move its Israel embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The former Labor heavyweight says the announcement is lingering ‘like a bad smell in a lift’, and is encouraging the Prime Minister to admit his mistake because ‘it’s obvious’ the government will not follow through with moving the embassy. It comes after the Australia-Indonesia free trade deal was placed on hold over the announcement to reconsider the embassy’s location. Mr Richardson has emphasised the importance of maintaining relations with Indonesia, and says if you don’t care about the Australia-Indonesia relationship ‘you’re an idiot’.
