Authorities have confirmed that 20 people have died and another 26 are injured after a gunman opened fire in a shopping centre in the US state of Texas. The shooter attacked shoppers with an A.K.-47-style rifle at a Walmart store in El Paso, sending panicked customers fleeing for their lives. Authorities say the 21-year-old alleged gunman surrendered himself to police. Police will be pursuing capital murder charges and the FBI has also launched its own investigation into claims the man was motivated by white supremacist ideology. Image: AP
