Residents of Florida’s Palm Beach prepared on August 30 for the expected arrival of Hurricane Dorian, which had strengthened to a Category 4 by Friday night, with winds of up to 130 mph. Dorian was expected to make landfall in Florida on Monday as a Category 4 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds of up to 140 mph. The National Hurricane Center said the storm would become “extremely dangerous” as it approached the east coast of Florida over the weekend. This footage was shared by Nicole Pascual, who said she filmed it at a Walmart in Palm Springs on Friday. She told Storyful the store was crowded as residents rushed to stock up ahead of the hurricane’s expected arrival. Credit: Nicole Pascual via Storyful
