At least six police officers have been shot in the US city of Philadelphia. A police spokesperson said the gunman was shooting at officers in the Nicetown area of Pennsylvania. There are unconfirmed reports the gunman was barricaded inside a house in the city's north when he opened fire on police. The officers have been taken to nearby hospitals but their condition remains unknown.
