The Australian Editor-at-large Paul Kelly has warned the US-China trade war will continue to have significant implications for Australia. The trade dispute escalated this week when Beijing devalued its currency after the US imposed tariffs on China. Mr Kelly said it's unlikely Australia will have the leverage to persuade President Trump "to change his mind" when it comes to his dispute with China. He said as the rivalry between the two giants deepens, Australia will continue to be "squeezed." Scott Morrison is scheduled to head to Washington DC to meet with Donald Trump in September. Image: AP
