Brisbane protests ‘more about rebellion than the climate’

FULL INTERVIEW: Peter Dutton has condemned climate protestors in Brisbane for ‘costing people thousands of dollars in their small businesses and delaying parents in getting home to their kids’. Brisbane commuters were warned to prepare for more delays on Friday ahead of another climate protest planned in the CBD. Mr Dutton told Sky News the ‘mood in Brisbane from commuters and people wanting to go about their business is red hot’. The Home Affairs Minister said protestors were not effectively arguing their point and were ‘putting themselves at complete odds with the broader public’. Mr Dutton also questioned the activists’ intentions, saying ‘I think for a lot of these people it’s about the protest, the rebellion, and very little to do with the subject matter’.
