Floodwater inundated streets in Baltimore, Maryland, on August 6, after a severe thunderstorm swept through the region. Cars were stranded in streets while strong winds caused damage to property and toppled trees and dumpsters, local media reported. Lightning from the storm struck a building and caused a fire, Baltimore City Fire Department said in an alert.
