Lightning hit the tarmac at Jacksonville International Airport on Sunday, August 11, forcing a suspension of “ramp activities like fueling & moving bags,” according to the airport. This footage, shared with Storyful by Southwest Airlines ramp agent Frederick Walker, shows lightning flashing in the sky above the airport on Sunday evening. The lightning strikes left marks on the taxiway, the airport said. The thunderstorm that swept over the airport was one of the top ten rainfall events recorded at the airport since the 1890s, the National Weather Service said. Credit: Frederick Walker via Storyful
