Police tell grim news to the families of Torres Strait missing five lost at sea

Supplied video obtained August 4, 2019 of Chief Superintendent Brian Huxley, District Officer, Far North District of Queensland Police updating the results of the search and rescue operation that was conducted in the Torres Straight looking for five people who went missing from their open motor boat two days ago. The police have gone to an island in the Torres Straight to deliver the sad news to the families of the missing four adults and one child. Two men, two women and a nine-year-old boy set sail in the seven-metre boat from Badu Island, a small island located 50km from Queensland’s Thursday Island on Wednesday afternoon. The police so far have only located the boat.(AAP Video/Supplied/Queensland Police Service) NO ARCHIVING, EDITORIAL USE ONLY
