Australia's monthly trade surplus has hit $8.04 billion, placing a current account surplus within reach for the first time since 1975. China's appetite for mining commodities underpinned the June figure, smashing the $6.2 billion record set in May. There was a 1.4 per cent increase in export values for the month, while import values fell 3.6 per cent. Treasurer Josh Frydenberg told Sky News the boom isn't flowing through to the rest of the economy due to volatility.
