Extinction Rebellion protesters arrested for blocking Sydney streets

Extinction Rebellion demonstrators have been arrested in Sydney after clogging Pitt Street and Martin Place with a protest during which they denounced Prime Minister Scott Morrison as a “climate criminal”. Dressed as elves, reindeer and lying on the ground pretending to be dead, the protesters surrounded a demonstrator dressed as Mr Morrison in a Santa Claus outfit in a sleigh with the slogan “coal slays life”. Police Rescue was called in to remove protesters who attached themselves to the sleigh with glue. Image: Twitter / @Dave_Millar
