The Border Force commissioner has ordered non-citizens or residents travelling from or through China will be denied entry to Australia, as the government ramps up its attempt to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. Michael Outram on Sunday said he ordered airlines to prevent individuals – with the exception of citizens and permanent residents – from boarding flights to Australia if they had been in China. From today those arriving from mainland China will have their visas cancelled and 71 travellers had their visa's cancelled overnight. Health Minister Greg Hunt told reporters there 12 cases confirmed within Australia – with another patient discharged, bringing the total of patients cleared of the virus up to three.
