Mr Dean said Sanders is “a hard-left radical socialist who sees himself as America's Maduro,” and “many of his supporters are nothing but goons and thugs”. “Like Trump, his instincts are anti-Establishment – he is pro-borders and against trade deals that put American workers at a disadvantage,” he said. “He is probably the only Democrat who could peel white working-class voters away from Trump and his popularity is a threat to the Democrat establishment.
