A man in a sailboat adrift and reportedly filling with water some 200 miles off the coast of New Jersey was rescued by the Coast Guard on the evening of April 10, nighttime video shows. This footage was taken by the Coast Guard, and shows the sailor being hoisted into a rescue aircraft. According to local reports, the man issued a distress signal which was picked up by a passing tanker at 5.15 pm. The tanker stayed near the man’s boat until the Coast Guard flew to the area.
