Building Collapse Blocks Streets in Brooklyn

A three-story building at the intersection of Union and Court streets in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, collapsed on July 1, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) said. The building housed Body Elite Gym, which recently underwent modifications to its exterior, according to the gym’s Facebook page. The NYPD and FDNY closed off both Union and Court in both directions.
