Cirque Du Soleil has filed for bankruptcy after shows were closed worldwide due to the coronavirus pandemic. More than 3,400 jobs are expected to be lost with hopes turning to a $300,000 million funding effort to save the revolutionary circus troupe. Meanwhile, Oscar Winner Jennifer Hudson is earning the industry's R-E-S-P-E-C-T, transforming into the late Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Ms Franklin handpicked Hudson to play her before she died in 2018. The film traces Franklin's rise to the top and her role in the civil rights struggle.
